In 1948, as the Cold War grips Chile, renowned poet and Communist Senator Pablo Neruda boldly denounces the government, leading to President González Videla revoking his parliamentary immunity. In response, the Chief of Investigative Police orders inspector Óscar Peluchonneau to apprehend the outspoken Neruda. Facing imminent danger, Neruda and his wife, painter Delia del Carril, attempt to flee the country, but soon find themselves living in hiding. Their struggle against political oppression unfolds as Neruda’s literary voice continues to resonate amidst the chaos.
