John Twiller reflects on his high school days as he revisits his yearbook from 1956. Back then, young Jack was infatuated with Lily, a popular girl who seemed out of reach due to her overbearing boyfriend, Angelo. Determined to win her affection, Jack enlists the help of his friends Crutch, Floyd, and Spider. Together, they devise a series of schemes, hoping to sway Lily's feelings and navigate the challenges posed by Angelo’s bullying. As memories unfold, Jack's journey reveals the bittersweet struggles of teenage love and friendship.
