In "Playing God," Dr. Eugene Sands, a once-renowned surgeon in Los Angeles, loses his medical license due to a drug-fueled surgery. Seeking to escape his past, he unexpectedly becomes involved with Raymond Blossom, a notorious counterfeiter. Relegated to the role of a "gun-shot doctor" for Raymond's crew, Eugene finds himself navigating the perilous underbelly of crime. As he becomes further entrenched in this dangerous world, he also develops a complicated relationship with Raymond's girlfriend, complicating his already tumultuous new life.
