Nate Burns seeks a fresh start from his tumultuous past in the Baltimore police force by relocating to a serene Alaskan town, where he becomes the local sheriff. There, he develops a romantic relationship with the adventurous bush pilot, Meg Galligan. However, their budding romance is shattered when Meg's father is found murdered, pulling Nate into the heart of a high-stakes investigation. As he navigates the complexities of the case, he must confront not only the dangers lurking in the wilderness but also the shadows of his former life.
