Queen Aggravain has decreed that her son, Prince Dauntless, cannot wed until he finds a suitable bride, but she has thwarted every potential match. Meanwhile, Sir Harry and Lady Larken discover they are expecting a child, prompting Harry to venture into the swamps in search of a bride. He returns with the spirited Princess Winnifred, affectionately known as "Fred," who is unlike any princess Aggravain has encountered. As Fred navigates the challenges of court life, the stage is set for a clash of wills that could change everything for Dauntless and the kingdom.
