Ellen Hardy's life takes a dark turn when she learns that her siblings, long confined to a mental institution for the murder of their parents, are about to be released. Currently residing with the elderly Mrs. Armstrong, Ellen decides to bring her troubled brother and sister into their home. As she navigates her growing anxiety over their past, she worries that their hidden secret could ruin her chances of marrying Mrs. Armstrong's stepson.
