Noboru, a socially awkward high school student, admires the charismatic Miyazaki, who juggles two girlfriends, Momose and Tetsuko, each with strikingly different personalities. When Miyazaki is caught with Momose, he enlists Noboru and her to pose as a couple to protect his relationship with Tetsuko. Eager to impress Miyazaki, Noboru and Momose play along, but as they navigate their charade, Noboru finds himself genuinely falling for Momose, who remains infatuated with the popular senior. The tangled emotions lead to unexpected complications and awkward moments in their pretend romance.
