After killing a man in self-defense, Bat Masterson arrives in Dodge City, where he discovers his brother Ed is campaigning for sheriff. Tragedy strikes when Ed is murdered by the corrupt incumbent’s hired guns. Fueled by revenge, Bat contemplates violence but is persuaded by the townsfolk to run for Ed’s position instead. Winning the election thrusts Bat into a complex role as sheriff, where he must navigate the challenges of justice while grappling with his loyalty to friends and the demands of upholding the law.
