The Name of the Rose (2019)

Set in 1327 Northern Italy, the Franciscan monk William of Baskerville and his apprentice, Adso of Melk, arrive at a remote Benedictine abbey nestled in the Alps to mediate a conflict between the Franciscan Order and the papacy in Avignon. However, their mission quickly spirals into a chilling investigation as a series of enigmatic deaths unfold within the abbey's walls. As William applies his sharp intellect to unravel the truth, both he and Adso are drawn deeper into a web of intrigue and danger that threatens their very lives.
