Animas Trujano, a vibrant yet reckless Indian, lives in a small Mexican village with dreams of becoming mayordomio, a prestigious title usually reserved for the most esteemed and affluent individuals. Despite his devotion to his wife, he indulges in infidelity and squanders their savings on gambling. Opportunities for redemption present themselves, offering Animas a chance to change his ways and pursue his aspirations of gaining the esteemed title. As he navigates his flaws and the expectations of his community, Animas faces the challenge of proving himself worthy of respect and honor.
