Seth McArdle, a high school senior, juggles academic challenges and the responsibility of caring for his twin sisters after losing their mother and dealing with an unreliable father. As financial troubles loom with a foreclosure notice, his frustrations lead to clashes with the school's football team. An aggravated coach assigns Seth to work with Abel, the quirky groundskeeper portrayed by Kevin Sorbo. Initially, their interactions are strained, but as they bond over shared hardships, they discover a deeper connection rooted in their faith and resilience amidst life's struggles.
