At 55, Andy embraces her identity as a woman, even as her transition remains incomplete. While her dreams materialize, they come with heavy costs: she loses her job and estranges her family. Just when loneliness sets in after her best friend's unexpected death, a mother and son unexpectedly enter her life. Drawn to their plight and seeking connection, Andy opens her home to them, unaware that this act of kindness will alter her life in profound ways.
