Bucolic lawyer John Wayne confronts urban corruption in A Man Betrayed. Determined to expose a seemingly untouchable politician, played by Edward Ellis, as a criminal, he embarks on a risky mission. Complicating matters, Wayne is also romantically involved with the politician's daughter, Frances Dee, adding a personal stake to his quest for justice.
