Our Father (2002)

Tamir and Amine wake up one morning to discover their father has left the family without warning. Stunned and hurt, they start acting out. While secretly watching a film, they think they spot their father speaking directly to them from the screen, so they steal the movie to study the frames. Their mother, Achta, grows desperate and enrolls them in Koranic school. Unhappy there, they plot their escape—until the older boy falls for a deaf girl named Khalil.
