Marie Krøyer, celebrated as Europe’s most beautiful woman, appears to have it all with her famed artist husband, P.S. Krøyer, and their cherished daughter. Yet beneath the surface, her idyllic life begins to unravel as she grapples with unfulfilled aspirations as a devoted wife, mother, and artist. Following her husband’s hospitalization due to mental illness, Marie seeks solace on vacation, where she unexpectedly falls for the young composer Hugo Alfven.
