Lucy is employed in a pediatric ward that is struggling with a lack of staff. When a 4-year-old boy named Adam is admitted, she faces a challenging situation with his mother, Rebecca, who refuses to leave his side, even though a judge has ordered her to do so. Determined to support Adam, Lucy resolves to do whatever it takes to assist this troubled mother in her time of need.
