Following her mother's untimely passing, Junie, a French teen, enrolls in a new high school. Despite her introspective nature, her striking beauty and calm demeanor captivate the male student body. She starts a relationship with the kind-hearted Otto Cleves, but soon becomes infatuated with her charismatic Italian language teacher, Nemours. As their mutual attraction grows, the situation spirals into a web of emotional turmoil, forcing Junie to confront her feelings and the consequences of her choices.
