This prompts Mary to question her own readiness for motherhood. When a blind child gets caught in a dust storm, Mary and Adam come to the rescue. This experience helps Mary understand that she can handle the responsibilities of parenting. In the end, Mary feels reassured and they exchange vows with Reverend Alden officiating their wedding.
