Ruthie chooses a quiet new classmate for her project, discovering the girl harbors a secret. Meanwhile, Peter selects Ruthie as his project, leading her to suggest they should distance themselves. Chandler and Roxanne keep crossing paths, rekindling old emotions, while Annie grows envious of the attention the twins are giving to Cecilia.
