Wholesaler Madsen suspects that Morten is plotting against him and reluctantly enlists Max to keep an eye on him. Meanwhile, Ane and Fie face a more pressing matter: Ane's newborn has been taken by Jesper's father and placed in an undisclosed orphanage. Fie realizes that Jesper is their only hope, but tracking him down proves challenging. Additionally, Count Ditmar's German wife, Mitzi, is surprised by the arrival of her younger brother and his Nazi associates from the south. Amidst this chaos, the Molin couple struggles to conceal their marital issues, and a sudden choice by the wife triggers a wave of romantic developments among the other guests.
