In the 1960s, North Carolina saw a dramatic rise of the Ku Klux Klan, a story revisited in this episode. In 1963, Bob Jones Sr. founded the state’s chapter, swelling its ranks to over 10,000 members within just three years. The documentary draws on insights from sociologist David Cunningham, author of *Klansville, USA*, along with historians David Cecelski and Gary Freeze.
