Meanwhile, Maxine battles to protect a 10-year-old girl from her abusive stepfather. Vincent grapples with the challenges of post-traumatic stress disorder. Things take an awkward turn for Amy when she agrees to go out with the father of one of Lauren's friends, only to discover he’s a child advocacy attorney due to appear in her courtroom. In the midst of it all, Vincent begins to form a deeper connection with Lisa.
