Hodgins and Angela awaken to a shocking scene: a bloody body suspended above their bed, with flower petals scattered around their son Michael's crib. This horrifying sight leads them to suspect that Pelant has returned to seek vengeance on Hodgins. While Hodgins is eager to confront Pelant head-on, Booth insists that they must follow proper procedures and work within the law. As the Jeffersonian team delves into the investigation, they learn that the deceased was a Special Forces operative linked to a major mercenary supplier. Meanwhile, determined to protect their family, Angela and Hodgins opt to pursue their own investigation apart from the team.
