Tarzan encounters a group of religious pilgrims led by Rosanna McCloud, who is guiding them to their "Promised Land." In an effort to preserve their hope, Mrs. McCloud keeps the news of her husband's death—whom they all view as their Prophet—hidden from them. Unbeknownst to her, the government trader who sold the land to the group had ulterior motives and never intended for them to actually reach it. When Rosanna finally reveals their leader's demise, she and Tarzan discover that their money has also been stolen.
