Henry hosts a dinner for his new neighbors, Richard Whitney and his daughter Julie. While Punky, Cherie, and Julie are baking a cake, they come across a milk carton with Julie's image, revealing her real name is Jennifer Bates. Upset, Jennifer rushes home to confront Richard about the milk carton. When she unexpectedly runs off, Richard insists that no one should call the police. Punky eventually finds Jennifer hiding in the treehouse, and after some convincing, she returns to talk to Richard. He explains that after his divorce from Jennifer’s mother, Roberta, she has been trying to limit his visitation, but he cares deeply for Jennifer and wants to be part of her life.
