Father Ted finds himself caught up in a budding romance with sultry author Polly Clarke, which jeopardizes his relationship with a group of visiting nuns who adore him. In the midst of this, Ted manages to conduct an entire church service in a flash and also gets entangled in a robbery at gunpoint.
