When Wolf unexpectedly shows up at Tutaekuri Bay, Cheryl is shocked, but he claims she reached out to him. Cheryl insists she can't return after the loss of the baby, and Wolf seizes the moment. However, their encounter is cut short by Ranger Dennis, who is displeased to see the Wests in his area. Wolf confronts him, but Dennis soon returns to deliver a serious warning about fire hazards and ash contamination, which infuriates Cheryl.
