Norm takes a trip to the historic Old Schwamb Mill in Arlington, Massachusetts. Established in 1860, the mill was acquired in 1864 by German immigrant craftsmen, Charles and Frederick Schwamb. The brothers thrived on producing oval picture frames that were highly sought after for showcasing portraits of Civil War soldiers. While exploring the Schwamb Brothers’ former office, Norm discovers a striking roll top desk made of quarter-sawn oak, igniting his creativity to create his own rendition of this iconic American piece.
