Norm crafted his version using durable medium density overlay plywood, a material commonly used by highway sign creators, and finished it with cypress edging known for its resistance to decay. A two-coat paint application gives it an attractive "black/green" garden aesthetic, making it an ideal showcase for a diverse array of plants and blooms.
