A corrupt Indian agent puts the future of an Apache reservation established by John Cannon at risk. Captain Albert Surtee treats the starving residents of the reservation with cruelty. In response, John decides to take action and dismisses Surtee. He believes that Surtee has enlisted the help of the renegade Chief Cubero to incite conflict and steal government cattle. To confirm his suspicions, John and Billy Blue put themselves in harm's way, intentionally provoking an attack from Surtee and the renegade Indians.
