In Utah, the Great Salt Lake is split into two distinct sections by a railroad causeway, with each section hosting its own unique levels of salinity and ecosystems. Interestingly, the nearby mountains receive snowfall known as Lake Snow. Numerous species rely on this saline body of water for their survival.
