Initially thought to be a tragic accident, the case shifts into a murder inquiry when Vera uncovers signs that the body has been manipulated. Conversations with Lizzy's acquaintances reveal a disturbing portrait of a woman who had grown increasingly secretive and suspicious, isolating herself from friends and family in the days prior to her untimely demise.
