Nixie proposes that they should allow Zac to locate the trident, planning to take it from him afterward. In contrast, Lyla believes they should be honest with him, hoping he will stay away from it altogether. When Lyla cautions Zac against going to Mako Island during the full moon, Evie witnesses them holding hands and decides to end their relationship.
