When Dolly, a retired horse from the milk wagon, stops eating during her owner's absence, Opie grows increasingly anxious about her well-being. Unsure of how to resolve the situation, he seeks assistance from Goober, Howard, and Andy to coax the horse back to her meal. Eventually, Mr. Simpson returns from his trip, and he and Opie uncover the reason behind Dolly's refusal to eat: she longs for the routine of her daily work.
