After the passing of Boss' great uncle Silas Hogg, he inherits a substantial sum to donate to charity as he sees fit. The Dukes, aware that Boss is unlikely to part with the money, devise a plan to create the illusion that Silas’ spirit is haunting him. They set up various tricks to make it seem as though Silas is urging Boss to fulfill his charitable obligation.
