The brothers head to contemporary New Orleans, hoping to uncover memories from their last trip there in 1942, including a former love of Damon’s, Charlotte. Meanwhile, Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie enjoy a girls' night, but tension rises when Elena reveals unexpected news. Encouraged by Hayley, Tyler confronts Klaus' hybrid, Kimberly, and things spiral out of control. Ultimately, Damon finds himself confronted with a devastating choice.
