The refuse collectors, compelled to swallow their pride, must register with the newly privatized company, even though it means accepting reduced pay. Ken is the sole holdout, opting for a severance package—but his break from work is short-lived. Life at the job for the 'supercrew' becomes increasingly intolerable, until Ken discovers a newfound fascination with European law.
