Harry and Ellen are reveling in their blossoming romance, dancing the night away in an apartment that Harry has arranged for her. During their intimate moments, Ellen opens up about her father and discloses that her true name is Joyce. Meanwhile, Agnes's abusive, inebriated father, Reg, has just been let go from his job and unleashes his anger on Agnes, striking her across the face.
