The 4077th becomes the backdrop for the production of an army film focused on Mobile Army Surgical Hospital units. Hawkeye is selected to play the lead role, while Margaret and Frank work on the screenplay. However, Hawkeye takes issue with the propaganda nature of the film being created by Lt. Bricker. He decides to take matters into his own hands, creating a new version that features him as a Groucho Marx-inspired character, humorously critiquing the glorification of doctors. The film wraps up with a poignant message about the harsh realities of war.
