Throughout the United States, medical professionals and researchers are engaged in a battle against some of nature's most lethal adversaries — parasites. A mysterious organism wreaks havoc in a midwestern city, leading to the worst parasitic outbreak the nation has ever seen. Tragically, before the threat is managed, 100 innocent lives are lost.
