Part 3 (S01E03)

Following the funeral of her youngest daughter, Mildred focuses on launching her new restaurant. The grand opening turns out to be a huge success, impressing even Veda. Though the night is overwhelmingly busy, friends step in to help. When Monty Beragon arrives, Mildred discovers he’s quite a celebrity, and Veda is instantly smitten. Monty suggests a music teacher for Veda, prompting Mildred to start saving for a proper piano. With the end of prohibition, neighbor Lucy proposes that Mildred add a bar to the restaurant. Meanwhile, Vera, unhappy with the Christmas gift from her mother, rebels and blames Monty for creating a rift with Veda.
