Before heading off on a private getaway, Birdie dismisses a colleague's suggestion to run a background check on Joe. When a family crisis arises that requires Joe's attention, he plans a stay at a high-end hotel for them. However, the evening is dampened by unfortunate news, revealing some hidden intentions that Joe has been harboring.
