Jalal finds himself assigned a new position by ISIS, where he observes horrific punishments and staged executions meant to bolster the group's propaganda. Feeling increasingly trapped, he resolves to put his own life on the line to assist Ibitsam and Narin in their escape. Meanwhile, as Ushna grows more devoted, Shakira becomes increasingly worried that Isaac is being prepared for combat, leading her to ponder a desperate question—whether there is any possible escape from The State.
