You Oughta Be in Pictures (S05E15)
The girls eagerly seize the opportunity to star in a movie, blissfully unaware that it’s an Army hygiene film. Shirley convinces Laverne to audition, and to their surprise, they land the leading roles. After a fitting, they emerge in overly flashy costumes, which Laverne quickly inquires about keeping. They then meet their co-stars, and Shirley discovers her leading man is gay. As filming begins, the shocking truth hits: they’re playing prostitutes in an Army hygiene film. Once the experience wraps up, a disheartened Laverne and Shirley are at home when Lenny and Squiggy burst in, excitedly sharing that they just attended the film’s premiere. When asked if anyone recognized them, Lenny reassures them that no one did—except he felt compelled to tell everyone it was them.
