Tensions escalate between the legitimate roommates and the uninvited squatters who have taken over the building. With urgency, Tom needs to sell the property. He reveals to Mia that she and her friends are occupying the very place their grandfather bequeathed to them. Feeling uncomfortable with her unexpected role as "landlord/heiress," Mia decides to keep this information from her boyfriend, Kristos, who manages a nonprofit supporting refugees.
