At Mouse School, Miss Maxwell presents a fruit bowl to the mice and asks them to share what they see, introducing the concept of perspective. She then assigns a project for the mice to express their own points of view. Tutter finds this challenging, feeling his perspective is just a "boring old Tutter point of view." Treelo, on the other hand, creates artwork to showcase his viewpoint. While searching for inspiration, Tutter discovers a camera given to him by Grandma Flutter and decides to make a film titled Mouse on Mars, but struggles with the subject matter and its connection to his perspective. Later, he listens to Bear tell a Shadow story about a duck and a ladybug, which sparks new ideas after seeing Treelo's paintings.
