The Devil and Jonathan Smith (S02E05)
After Mark accidentally hits a girl with his car, he is consumed by guilt until he meets Jabez Stone, who offers a deal: the girl will survive if Mark surrenders his soul to the Devil. Believing it to be a scam, Mark signs the contract. When the girl recovers, he turns to Jonathan for help, but Jonathan explains that there are strict rules against interfering with such deals. Their only chance is to retrieve the contract, so Jonathan seeks assistance from the unscrupulous grifter C.J. Barabbas. C.J. informs Stone of Jonathan's plan, leading to Jonathan's arrest on the night Stone's boss comes to collect Mark. However, when Stone checks the contract, he is stunned to find it’s a fake. In a twist, Jonathan reveals he has the genuine contract and destroys it, saving Mark in the process.
