The festive atmosphere of a quinceañera turns tragic when violence breaks out, resulting in several fatalities. In their quest for justice, the detectives chase a promising lead that leads them to a young boy guarding a vast marijuana plantation, who turns out to be the sole witness to the events. As they narrow down their prime suspect, Winters is unexpectedly confronted at his home. Concurrently, DDA Morales (Alfred Molina) faces a difficult choice as he contemplates prosecuting those responsible, risking diplomatic tensions with the Mexican government, which leads to an unforeseen and startling outcome.
