Tatiana remains missing, and Sully is consumed by grief as he searches for her. His unease intensifies when he discovers the body of a six-year-old girl in a box on the street. Disturbed by this image and reflecting on his recent errors, Sully decides to take a sick day and finds himself at a nearby restaurant, where he encounters his parish priest. They engage in a deep conversation about guilt, forgiveness, faith, and divine intervention, recalling another man whose attempts to rectify his wrongs ended in tragedy at Sully's hands. Ultimately, Sully reaches a point of self-forgiveness and seeks out Davis to ask for forgiveness, hoping to restore their bond.
