After a heated exchange with a grouchy old man at her bakery, Val is shocked to learn he dies just moments later, leading her to believe she's responsible. To help her cope, Lauren encourages Val to attend his funeral, but it soon becomes clear that Lauren's true motive is to meet men there. Meanwhile, Holly secures Tina a job at her workplace, but Tina resorts to using her looks to climb the corporate ladder, prompting Holly to end their friendship in disapproval. Frustrated with their friends, Val and Holly decide to confront Lauren and Tina about their self-esteem issues, ultimately mending their friendships.
